<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture by a method wherein a light emitting element and a light receiving element are provided on separate lead frames arranged on the same flat, and these are molded by resins of each different refractive indices. CONSTITUTION:The light emitting element 10 and the light receiving element 11 are provided respectively on the separate lead frames 6 and 7 arranged on the same flat. Next, these are molded by the transparent resin 14 of refractive index n1, and further the part thereon is molded or coated by the resin 15 of refractive index n2. Thereat, the relation between the refractive indices is selected at n1>n2, thereby the light from the light emitting element 11 is totally reflected on the boundary surface between the both resins, and supplied into the light receiving element 10. Therefore, the manufacture can be facilitated, since the work to make the light emitting element and the light receiving element opposed to each other at the time of manufacturing is unnecessitated.</p> |
