CONSTITUTION:When an outgoing facsimile terminal T1 performs hook-off to indicate the call at the start of communication, the hook-off state is informed to a subscriber exchange X1 via a signal path 1b and the X1 returns a response 1 to the terminal T1. Further, the terminal T1 dials the facsimile communication service request special number via a communication processing node CPN and the number of an incoming terminal T2, the dial information is transferred to the X1 via the path 1b, the X1 transmits the connection request to the node CPN via a common line 2b, and when the response 2 is received, the X1 connects the line 1a and a signal line 2a between stations, returns a response 3 to the T1 to inform the end of call setting.
