PURPOSE:To reduce the time occupied by an host device, by providing a switching circuit which performs switching between an offset interruption and a sector search interruption. CONSTITUTION:An offset instruction is received from an host device, and then a sector search instruction is received. When an offset operation is over, an offset interruption signal 4 is produced from an offset interruption producing circuit 1. As the sector search operation is already set in, a sector search operation signal 7 is supplied to an interruption control circuit 8 through an inverter 9. The signal 4 is suppressed by an AND gate 10. When the sector No. received from the host device is coincident with an actual sector No., a sector search interruption signal 5 is produced from a sector search interruption signal generating circuit 2. In this case, the signal 4 already exists and therefore an AND is secured by an AND gate 11 of the circuit 8. Then a drive interruption signal 6 is transmitted to the host device through an OR circuit 3. |
