PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a DMA controller, by allotting a specific address of a memory to the address of a DMA operation to perform the reading, advance and storage of the address and then having a DMA transfer to a peripheral device. CONSTITUTION:A control processor system comprises a general-purpose microprocessor CPU1, a memory device RAM5 which performs a DMA transfer between a control ROM2 and a peripheral device 3 or 4, a DMA controller 6 which controls the DMA transfer of data, and an address coder 7 which performs a selection for the ROM2, RAM5 and controller 6 in response to the upper digits of an address designated by the CPU1. In such a constitution, the address is designated by address latches 10 and 11. A complicated circuit is eliminated by giving an access to the address of the RAM5 by means of a DMA address generator and a selector despite of an increment of the number of peripheral devices. |
