PURPOSE:To improve phase characteristics of an objective lens, by generating driving force at each coil wound around a holding member by electromagnetic operation of a current flowing through the coil and the magnetic force of a magnet. CONSTITUTION:Magnetized magnets 24 and 25 are fixed to one-side terminals 22a and 23a of yokes 22 and 23 coaxially in the opposite directions while the other-side terminals 22b and 23b of the yokes 22 and 23 are fitted loosely in through-holes 8b and 8b of a holding member 8, and the magnets 24 and 25 face each other with a prescribed gap where coils 5 and 6 cross each other, constituting a magnetic circuit. Consequently, prescribed currents are flowed through the coils 5 and 6 to drive the holding member 8 in a tracking and a focusing direction. At this time, rigid body surfaces 15, 16, and 19 of supporting members 11 and 12 move in the tracking and focusing directions by the elastic operation of elastic surfaces 13 and 14, and 17 and 18 while held perpendicular to the holding member 8 and an external case 21. |
