A fire suppression system and a method using a hand carry equipment are provided to rapidly perform the putting out work by determining a spot for the efficient fire extinguishment, moving a small fire-extinguishing equipment for hand carry to an optimum place of the fire extinguishment location by operating a fire-extinguishing module. A fire suppression system using a fire-extinguishing equipment for hand carry comprises: a fire break out decision unit(210) for judging whether a fire is break out or not after analyzing the sensor information collected by a sensor; a position decision unit(220) for deciding a fire extinguishment location by using the collected sensor information, if it is determined that the fire break out; and a movement control unit(230) for moving a hand carry equipment mounting a fire-extinguishing module to the determined fire extinguishment location.
