PURPOSE:To unnecessitate an external filter by a method wherein a light receiving element is sealed with resin which passes a light in the region of desired wavelengths but has the characteristic of absorption to the light except for it, when a photoelectric converter is constituted of a light receiving element having sensitivity only to a light in the region of desired wavelengths and an element which outputs a voltage or a current for an external device by the output thereof. CONSTITUTION:An IC chip 14 as the element which inputs the output signal of the light receiving element 13 such a a PIN photo diode having sensitivity to the region of desired wavelengths, i.e. the region of infrared rays, etc., and then outputs the signal for driving the external device is mounted on a lead frame 10 and sealed with the resin 6. In this constitution, the resin 6 is manufactured by mixing dye which passes only a light in the region of infrared rays and has the characteristic of adsorption to the light except for it with transparent resin. Thus, even when a filter is not provided, the output voltage due to ambient light becomes small, and then operates selectively in response to only the desired infrared ray. |
