PURPOSE:To improve reliability and to make digitization easy, by irradiating light pulses to a phosphor of which the attenuation time of fluorescence changes with temp. and counting the attenuation time of the fluorescence thereby detecting temp. CONSTITUTION:An electrical signal is made by a pulse generator 7, and is fed to a light source 8, by which the signal is converted to light pulses. The light pulses pass through an optical fiber 9 and arrive at a capsule 10 sealed therein with a phosphor. The light of fluorescence is conducted by a fiber 11 to a photodetector 12. A counter circuit 13 and a clock pulse generator 14 receive the output signal from the photodetector 12 and measure the attenuation time of the fluorescence. |
