PURPOSE:To obtain an assembly having efficient effective reflecting area, by applying a statistical processing, in the selection of the length of each chaff element and the ratio of number of combination. CONSTITUTION:Denoting an effective reflecting area formed with one chaff element as sigma, the sigma is expressed as a function sigma=F(f,l), where (f) is a frequency and (l) is the element length. Denoting the maximum value of the effective reflecting area S formed in prescribed bands f1-f2 (f1<=f2) as S max, Smax=F(f1, l) is obtaned. Then, the square mean value DELTA of the deviation between the S and the Smax is expressed as shown in equation. Thus, li, Ni minimizing the DELTA under the conditions satisfying this equation is the optimum solution, which gives the combination forming the most efficient effective reflecting area under the specified conditions. |
