SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING MMS MESSAGE THAT EXCEEDED RECEIVABLE CAPACITY OF MOBILE TERMINAL

A system for providing an MMS message exceeding the receiving capacity of the mobile communication terminal, and a method therefor are provided to transmit the MMS message which exceeds the receiving capacity in a streaming type without discarding the message. A calling terminal prepares an MMS message in which the moving picture is appended and then transmits it to an MMSC(S201). The MMSC receives the identifier of the called terminal and MMS message to confirm the size of the MMS message(S203). The MMSC transmits the identifier of the called terminal to a subscriber database and requests the information of the called terminal(S205,S207). The MMSC determines whether it can accept the MMS message in which the received terminal is transmitted from the originating mobile or not(S209). If it is acceptable the MMS message as if in the received terminal, MMSC transmits the MMS message in which the moving picture is appended with the received terminal (S211).
