A method and a device for controlling output of a contents device are provided to dynamically control the output of the contents device to satisfy regulation required from contents protection software. A UI(User Interface) unit(510) receives a signal requesting use of contents. A software executor(520) executes software for decoding the contents corresponding to the signal received by the UI unit. A controller(530) outputs the decoded contents through an output portable permitted by the software executed by the software.
