<p>There is described a paper sheet supplying apparatus that supplies paper sheets one by one to the image forming apparatus (GH) and conducts the dehumidifying operation of paper sheets only when a specific kind of paper sheets are accommodated in the paper sheet accommodating section, so as to achieve a high operating efficiency. The paper sheet supplying apparatus includes: a paper sheet accommodating section (100A;100B) to accommodate paper sheets; a paper sheet feeding section (103A;103B) to feed the paper sheets one by one from the paper sheet accommodating section; a dehumidification dryer to dehumidify the paper sheet accommodating section; and a control section to control the dehumidification dryer. Only when the control section receives paper kind information representing a specific kind of paper sheet, the control section activates and controls the dehumidification dryer, based on the paper kind information.
