PURPOSE:To attain the designation of the operating mode of an image pickup device easily and acurately, by digitizing a signal processing system and a control system for the purpose of microcomputer control, storing data corresponding to plural operating modes, and inputting the control variale and the operating modes. CONSTITUTION:An output of a CCD1 is digitized and applied to a processor 8, which is provided with a data memory for gradation conversion. The characteristics of an LPF17 are controlled with control data from a bus 13 and aperture is compensated. In a color encoder 18, digital modulation of a color difference signal, mixing said signal with a modulated luminance signal, and with a synchronizing signal are executed and outputted. On a magnetic card inserted to a pickup device, the control variable and an operating mode designation code signal are recorded. A peak value with each color from a data extraction circuit 11 is obtained, a preamplifier 6 is controlled and the white balance is obtained automatically. An ROM27 is stored with each control variable and a program for the operating mode. The operating modes not stored on the magnetic card are obtained by key-inputting the program. |
