PURPOSE:To perform concatenating recording free from pause of a signal, by reversing a capstan for moving back a tape by a specific extent when a pause mode is set during recording, and start moving forth the tape when the recording is restarted. CONSTITUTION:When pause operation is performed during recording, a capstan motor (not shown in figure) is reversed while a pinch roll 19 is left as it is and a motor 43 rotates as shown by the arrow D1. The capstan 18 is rotated as shown by the arrow A2 to move the tape 13 in a direction E and when a head 7 detects a specific-length tape run, the capstan motor is stopped. An idler 8 swings as shown by the arrow F through the rotation of a motor 43 to come into press contact with a payoff reel disk 9, which is rotated counterclockwise to rewind the tape. Once the recording is restarted, the capstan motor rotates forward to move the tape 13 forward. Consequently, concatenating recording free from pause of the signal is performed even when the pause mode is set in the middle of recording. |
