PURPOSE:To obtain a developing toner good in fixability and offset resistance, and adapted to use for the heat roll fixing process, by using a reaction product between an aliphatic amine or its deriv. and a specified polyethylene oxide as a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:A developing toner using a reaction product mentioned below as a binder resin is obtained by heat kneading (A) polyethylene having <=130 deg.C softening point, 5-100 acid value, and <=10 deg.C penetration (e.g., ''High Wax 4202E'' made by Mitsui Petrochemical Industry KK), (B) aliphatic amine or tis deriv. (e.g., alkyldimethylamine made from hardened tallow) in an amt. of 1/ 500-1/5pt.wt. per 1pt.wt. of the component (A), and (C) pigment or dye (e.g., carbon black) in a roll mill or the like, after cooling, pulverizing and classifying them. When a magnetic toner is needed, the toner may be mixed with a magnetic powder, such as magnetite, for its use. |
