PURPOSE:To improve mechanical strength by increasing the output by connecting a metal segment tube to an insulating tube to form a laser tube, thereby improving the gas cooling effect. CONSTITUTION:Laser medium gas is introduced from a supply jacket 20 into a discharge passage, and exhausted from an exhaust jacket 21. A laser discharge tube which is formed of a metal segment tube 43 and an insulating tube 41 flows cooling medium from a cooling jacket 101 to a cooling tank 9 in a sheathed tube 30 since the gas temperature becomes very high due to discharge excitation. High temperature gas in a discharge passage 42 through an inlet hole 40 of a fixing fin of the tube 43 is cooled by the aluminum tube 43 having preferable heat conductivity in a short time. In order to perform stable gas medium discharge, the tube 43 is constructed so as to occupy approx. 85% or more of the discharge passage length. |
