PURPOSE:To perform opening, closing and tightening of half nuts surely with a single driving device by providing a cam plate which is movable with respect to the joint surface of the half nuts, and connecting a movable block to the cam plate. CONSTITUTION:A time bar 4 is fed through a stationary plate 1 so as to be unclamped from a movable plate in a die casting machine or the like. When a wedge member 24 is driven upward, a movable block 17 and a cam plate 12 move, and half nuts 11 which face each other are closed by the cam effect of a projection 11b and a groove 12a. When the member 24 is further driven, only the movable block 17 moves toward the end face of the bar 4 owing to the repellency of the connecting member 16 between the block 17 and the plate 12 and the force for pressing the bar 4 in the axial direction is exerted in press contact therewith. The screw of the bar 4 and the screw of the half nuts 11 are thus press stuck in the axial line direction of the bar 4 and the effect of screw tightening is obtained. The operation for loosening the nuts 11 is accomplished in the reverse procedure. |
