A fire damper with a lid (10), which is designed to be placed over an opening in a channel fitted for dampening adjustment , and a hinge (13) positioned on the lid (10), which , on the lid's (10) inside, has a damper plate (14), and on the lid's (10) outside, a handle (33) for the adjusting of the damper plate (14) to the desired position in the channel. The damper plate (14) is positioned on the hinge (13) so as to be movable and, between the damper plate (14) and the hinge, (13) a spring (21), is attached which strives to turn, the plate (14) towards a closed position, and also a thermo-safety valve (27), which, at normal operational temperatures, resists this movement. When a predetermined temperature is passed, the thermo safety valve (27) is released and the damper plate (14) is moved to the closed and blocked position, by the spring (21) regardless of the handle's (33) position. A similar effect is shown on the lid's (10) exterior via a display unit (26) connected to the damper plate (14).<IMAGE> |
