Intake duct (1) cast as a recess in a combustion engine cylinder head (2) which opens into a combustion chamber (3) thereof at its lower end via an annular valve-seat housing (4), characterized in that, over part of its length, it has a substantially planar underside (6a) connected to the housing (4) via a transition region that defines a shrinkage void (7a) of rounded shape within the mass of the cylinder head (2).
