PURPOSE:To stabilize the quality and to shorten the work time by controlling the grinding amount of a grindstone on the basis of grinding tone thereby holding the grinding amount optimally at any time. CONSTITUTION:The grinding tone or the sound pressure level of 6.3kHz, for example, is proportional to the grinding amount. Under the state where a work 10 on an upper table 4 is being grinded by a grindstone 10, if the grinding amount is high the grinding signal of 6.3kHz collected by a microphone 14 will have the voltage level higher than the referential level to produce a control signal from a level detector through a filter circuit. This output will rotate an upper/lower feed motor forwardly through a control circuit and drive circuit to move a head 8 or a grindstone 10 upwardly thus to control the cutting amount of the work 6 optimally. |
