PURPOSE:To execute destaticization of transfer paper immediately after transfer, and to simultaneously execute attenuation of the back potential of the transfer paper and separation of the transfer paper, by providing a titled device so that the shortest distance point of a corona wire of a transfer charger is positioned in the boundary of a corona discharge area of the transfer charger side. CONSTITUTION:When transfer paper 3 synchronizes with formation of a toner image on the surface of a photosensitive drum 1 and enters into a discharge area of a transfer charger 4, the transfer is executed onto the transfer paper 3 by corona discharge. Acorona discharge current shows the maximum in the shortest distance P of a corona wire 9, therefore, when passing through the point P, the transfer is completed already, therefore, the separation is executed immediately. In this case, since the transfer paper 3 is in a destaticizing discharge area of a separation charger 5, therefore, it is destaticized by the separation charger 5 and is separated, and accordingly, no peel-off discharge is generated, no toner image is put out of order, and also since this separation is executed immediately after transfer, no transfer efficiency drops. |
