PURPOSE:To unify a load sharing ratio of each pad, by a method wherein a curvature of the surface of a bearing of a pad in a load direction is formed concentrically with the center of the bearing and a curvature of the surface of a bearing of the other load supporting pad is formed nonconcentrically with the center of the bearing. CONSTITUTION:The center of a curvature (R) of a pad 3b and the center of a bearing OB are made into a concentrical structure, the centers of curvatures R1 and R2 of a pad 3c are made into the ones O'p and Op which are different from the center OB of the bearing, through which the titled bearing is in a nonconcentrical structure. As for the load supporting pad 3c, repulsive force of an oil film is large and a load sharing ratio is unified even under a high load condition of this structure, then a supporting load of a pad 3b in a load direction is reduced and a thickness of the oil film of the pad 3b is increased. |
