<p>PURPOSE:To remove soot while a hot gas passes through the inside of a passage, by attaching cooling medium spraying pipes to the inside of the passage of hot gas where soot, etc. are liable to stick, and discharging a cooling medium dispersedly into the passage to cool rapidly the soot, etc. and to contract deposited matters while the hot gas passes through the inside of the passage. CONSTITUTION:In a period that a hot gas is passing through the inside of a waste heat recovery device 1 and a passage 2, soot, etc. deposited on the inner surfaces of those device and passage are heated and kept approximately at the gas temperature. When a cooling medium is sprayed from a nozzle 5 by opening a valve 8, the temperature of the hot gas is rapidly lowered by the contact between the cooling medium and the hot gas, and then the temperature difference is produced between the inner surface of the deposited soot, etc. and the surface of side wall. Therefore the deposited matters are stripped off the wall surface by the contracting action, and the stripped matters are discharged to the outside by the flow of hot gas. A soot removing device 3 is used not only for the boundary part between the device 1 and the passage 2 but generally for all hot gas passages.</p> |
