<p>The valve (1) has a body (2) closed by 90 degree rotation of the operating handle (3). The valve plug (4) is in the form of a sphere with flats and is assembled in the body so that it can slide axially. The spherical surface on the outlet side of the plug seals onto a ring (19) in the body. The inlet spherical surface is in contact with a metallic pressure ring (21) which, in turn, is acted upon by a spring (17). This ensures a gas tight seal at all times.</p> |
