PURPOSE:To enable a glove compartment to be drawn backward and used in the rear seat by forming a containing part of said compartment in the rear end part of a console box main body. CONSTITUTION:For using a glove compartment 2 in the rear seat, a handle 50 of a stopping part 51 is pressed to release a stopping projection 49 from an engagement part 26 of the glove compartment 2, then the rear end surface wall 44 is opened to draw said compartment backward. At this time, the compartment 2 is guided by means of a fringe 25 at the upper end part of a receiving part 21 side plate 23 to a step part 43 at the upper end part of a containing part 4 side wall 41, and a guide fringe 24 at the bottom is drawn out smoothly being guided by a guide projection 42 of the containing part 4, further guided by a guide projection 47 and a fringe 46 on the rear end surface wall 44 to move onto said wall 44, and is brought in contact with the fringe 46 at the tip part and stopped. Since the glove compartment 2 is restrained by means of guide projections 47 of the rear end surface wall 44 and also enclosed all around by means of the fringe 46, it is certainly maintained without jumping out due to traveling vibrations or the like. |
