PURPOSE:To perform lid mounting operation or the like with a feeling of moderate operation, by utilizing reaction force caused by a contact of an elastic member with a protrusive part. CONSTITUTION:A hinge device is constituted by a fixed element 30 and a movable element 31, and an elastic member 32 is provided to the element 30 while a protrusive part 33 adapted to the member 32 is provided to the element 31. If the element 31 is rotated, the part 33 is adapted to the first and second slopes 45, 46 to receive reaction force of the member 32 and provide force in the direction of holding a position of the element 31, concretely a force of tending to maintain a mounting or tilting condition for the opening of a lid 3. Further at rotation of the element 31 when the part 33 rides across the member 32, an adapted condition is rapidly changed and clearly felt by the operator to enable the operation with a feeling of moderate operation. |
