PURPOSE:To reproduce the sound signal, by dividing the color carrier frequency when a low band converted color signal is reproduced, resetting the divided frequency in relation to a horizontal synchronizing signal to obtain a reproducing clock signal and reading an encoded differential sound signal out of the reproduced signal of a rotary magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The signal recorded to a magnetic tape 7 is detected by a rotary magnetic head 6 and applied to a frequency converting circuit 23 via an LPF21 to be converted into a synthetic signal Sc of the color burst and a color. At the same time the detected signal is supplied to a pseudo horizontal synchronizing signal separating circuit 25 as well as switch circuits 26 and 29 via a BPF22 and a demodulator 24. A logical encoded differential sound signal Se is extracted by the circuit 26. At the same time, the color carrier frequency of the circuit 23 is applied to a sound clock oscillator 28 to be divided as well as to be reset by the signal related to the horizontal synchronizing signal of the circuit 25 and then supplied to a binary decoder 31 as well as to a differential demodulating circuit 34 via a time extending circuit 32 and a D/A converter 33. Thus the sound signals of left and right stereo channels can be reproduced at the output of an LPF35. |
