The document case has a writing surface (13) that is fixed by a hinge between its lid (12) and base (11). The lid and base are hinged together on one side and can rotate through 360 deg. between a completely open position and a closed position. The base has a small compartment (14) fixed to it. The writing surface has a clip at one end to hold papers. The base is locked by a clip (17) that is fixed by an axle to the lid and can hold the lid and base together in the closed or open position.
