This positive control takes place by means of a swivelable bearing of chain guidance wheel and tensioning wheel in the movable joint head about an axis parallel with the axis of the gear wheel set, a rotational movement taking place by means of the angular change between steering gear and swivelable gear head by means of a gear wheel pair with rising thread during the individual gear changing processes. In this way, an exact tensioning of the chain can be generated which can be kept low and uniform over the entire gear changing range and as a result permits precise and rapid gear changing processes.
