<p>The top (1) has an outlet (2) for the mixed water with the cold and hot inlets (11,13) respectively at the back. The body (3) of the tap contains a housing, in which is located a circular plate having an operating lever (18) protruding from the top of the tap. The circular plate is sealed with 'O' rings on either side and has two curved, elongated ports. In one extreme position both inlets are closed. As the plate is turned, the cold inlet is gradually opened, followed by the hot. As the plate is further, rotated the cold port is closed giving a sequence of off-cold-mixed-hot.</p> |
