PURPOSE:An aqueous type mascara that contains a synthetic resin emulsion and an oily-soluble sucrose fatty acid ester of high-degree substitution, thus showing high curling effect, good usability, good finish and high stability with time and easy removability. CONSTITUTION:The objective mascara contains 5-60wt% of 50wt% strength synthetic resin emulsion (any resin with high safety of coating films can be used, e.g., acrylic vinyl acetate, styrene, synthetic rubber, olefin or alkyd resin) and 2-40, preferably 3-35wt% of an oil-soluble sucrose fatty acid ester with a high degree of substitution. The above ester is a sucrose fatty acid ester with an average substitution degree of 3 or more in 6-24C fatty acid or totaling more than 3 of the average substitution degree in 6-24C fatty acids and 2-4C lower fatty acids. The resultant mascara forms very hard coating films with small plasticity and gives bright eye expression. |
