PURPOSE:To obtain the titled carrier having superior image characteristics and a long life, by mixing CuO with ZnO, Fe2O3 and CuO in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:A mixture prepared by mixing 5-30mol% CaO with 0.1- 30mol% ZnO, 45-70mol% Fe2O3 and 0.01-5wt% CaO by means of a ball mill, a vibration mill or the like is calcined at 800-1,200 deg.C and pulverized to obtain a ferrite carrier for electrophotography having 10<3>-10<12>OMEGA.cm electric resistance, 10-80emu/g saturation magnetization value, 5-500mum average particle size, <=10 Oe coercive force, >=10 magnetic permeability and >=50 deg.C Curie temp. |
