发明名称 PRODUCTION OF REVOLVING SHAFT FOR KINETIC PRESSURE BEARING
摘要 PURPOSE:To form grooves for generation of dynamic pressure on the outside surface of an intermediate blank material for a revolving shaft and to make mass production of the revolving shaft for a kinetic pressure bearing by irradiating a laser beam to the surface of said blank material in accordance with a computer program while rotating the same. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam 4 is irradiated only to the required place on the I-I line on the outside surface of an intermediate blank material 11 for a revolving shaft while the material 11 is rotated around the axial center. The irradiating position of the beam 4 and the intermission of the irradiation thereof are controlled in accordance with the program of a computer. The stage for manufacturing a mask for photoetching and an electrode for electric discharge machining is eliminated and the formation of any intricate groove pattern and the alteration of the patterns are accomplished easily. The burrs at the circumferential edge of each groove in the stage of working with the beam 4 are throughly removed by finishing the outside surface after forming grooves 2, 3. This method is adaptable to stainless steel and ceramics as well.
