<p>A method for realizing ring network protection is provided, when the trigger condition of performing protection switch is met, according to the pre-configured segment formed ring information and service route information at the node, the node on the ring network determines the failed segment and the timeslot used by the service which influenced by the fault at the node, and switches the service to the protection channel which does not pass the failed segment; the segment formed ring information lists the segment information of forming the ring sequentially in the preset direction, the segment information includes the segment identifier pre-distributed between the neighboring nodes on the ring network; the service route information lists the service path information specifying the node as the source node and sink node for the timeslot. A network element apparatus is provided. The switch time of service is reduced effectively, and the switched signal quality is improved.</p> |
