Disclosed is an amorphous substance represented by the following general formula: aLixNa1-xF.bAlF3 wherein a is a mol ratio which is a value in the range of from 0.45 to 0.7, b is a mol ratio which is a value in the range of from 0.3 to 0.55, and x is a value in the range of from 0.1 to 1.0 except the case where a is 0.5 and b is 0.5, or x is a value in the range of from 0 to 1.0 when a is 0.5 and b is 0.5. This amorphous substance is used as a solid electrolyte of an electrochromic display device or the like. |
