The invention relates to a device for piecing a wind-round yarn according to Patent Application P 3121866. In this, there is arranged between a pair of delivery rollers (1) and a hollow spindle (2) a housing (5) having a main channel, in which a fibre suck-off channel and a thread suck-in channel open out, and furthermore a movably mounted closing member which can interrupt the suction effect of the fibre suck-off channel is provided. The thread suck-in channel (10) is arranged on the side of the main channel located opposite the mouth (51) of the fibre suck-off channel (9), a closing member designed as a slide (60) being movable into the main channel transversely upstream of the mouths (51 and 52) of the fibre suck-off channel (9) and of the thread suck-in channel (10). This device is suitable both for coarse yarns and for fine yarns. <IMAGE>
