FIELD: instrument making. ^ SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to measuring techniques. The method has in its circuitry microstructured fibre, combining functions of converting the spectrum of laser radiation from a single pumping source and a synthesiser of the phase profile of generated sequences of ultrashort pulses, used for coherent excitation and probing Raman transitions of atomic and molecular systems. During propagation of initial pumping radiation in the microstructure fibre, the laser pulse breaks into a series of ultrashort pulses due to the phenomenon of modulation instability. Frequency and phase of these pulses is tuned at a certain resonance of test molecular Raman transitions. ^ EFFECT: use of short pulses allows for achieving high time resolution, and efficient focusing and the non-linear-optical nature of this spectroscopy method allows for high spatial resolution (CARS-microspectroscopy). ^ 5 cl, 5 dwg |
