The invention relates to the testing of the blood supply to the tissues of a live warm-blooded creature for the purpose of localisation of disturbances in the blood supply to the tissues, of determination of the risk of disturbances in the blood supply to the tissues or of monitoring a therapeutic method of disturbances in the blood supply to the tissues, the living creature being subjected once or several times in succession to a nuclear-medical examination which is carried out by (1) introducing a radionuclide having a physical half-life between about 15 and 60 s in a quantity which suffices for external measurement of the radioactivity into the circulatory system of the living creature, (2) subjecting an organ, part of an organ or a group of organs ("organ") of the living creature to the external radioactivity measurement, and (3) determining the effective half-life of the radionuclide from the measurement values obtained over an appropriate time interval, preferably between 2 or 3 blood recirculations and about 5 to 10 blood recirculations through the "organ" in question after administration of the radionuclide. …<IMAGE>… |
