PURPOSE:To permit high-speed printing with very high positional accuracy for printing by a method in which a means to control electric current in the accelerating direction of a motor is provided to a control circuit for the fine stoppage position of a type wheel, and when the motor enters a fine stoppage control section, the current in the accelerating direction is made smaller. CONSTITUTION:The resistor on the output side of an inverter 7a of a fine stoppage position control circuit 7 for a type wheel is divided into two resistors R3a and R3b and connected with each other in series. A limiter 7C is then connected between these resistors R3a and R3b. When a motor position signal (a) is larger than the value ILMT of the limiter 7C, signal to be put in an amplifier 4 is one -G3ILMT with a gain G3(=R2/R3b), and signal to be put in the amplifier 4 is one -G1A with a gain G1[=R2/(R3a+R3b)] when the motor position signal (a) is smaller than the value ILMT. At the same time, output signal G2A' from a differential circuit 7b is put in the amplifier, and -G3ILMT+G2A' is put in a drive circuit 5. By this, in the fine control section, the motor position signal is controlled by the limiter. |
