PURPOSE:To perform color recording without troubles, increase in winding length, increase in inertial load of carriage, etc., by running an ink ribbon bearing two or more colors of inks in an oblique belt form in the slant direction to recording papers and recording head. CONSTITUTION:In a heat transfer line printer, for example, a multi-color ink ribbon 4 is made up of repeatedly four-divided color ink belts 13M (Magenta), 13C (cyanine), 13Y (yellow) and 13B (black). In this case, each color belt is extended slantly to the longitudinal direction and its length is set up to more than the length of recording row 12. The ink ribbon 4 is attached to a recorder in such a way that it can run slantly to the feeding direction of recording papers 2, sent out of the cassette 14, and wound up by a winding roll 15. |
