PURPOSE:To improve sharply the discharge performance while reducing its uneveness by making a sheet-like elementary piece of synthetic paper to be made of a mixed fiber, wherein the ratio of the cellulose system fiber and the thermoplastic synthetic fiber ranges 35:95-30:70, with regard to a cylindrical separator. CONSTITUTION:In a cell, a power generation element consisting of the a negative pole 22, whose main agent is gel-like zink, a separator 20 and the positive pole 24 is loaded inside of a positive pole can 26. The positive pole can 26 is sealed with a gasket 28 and a negative pole terminal 34. And a collector 32 inserted into the negative pole 22 is connected to the negative terminal 34 to compose a sealed type cylindrical alkaline cell. Hereby, in case of the cell composed while using the separator consisting of synthetic paper made of a mixed fiber having the ratio ranging 35:95-30:70 of the separator, namely, the ratio of the cellulose system fibre to the thermoplastic synthetic fiber, an opening on one side of the cylindrical separator can be blocked up simply and surely while a liquid insulating property required for hightening discharge performance of the cell can be fully secured. |
