PURPOSE:To diagnose the deterioration of insulation by deciding an optional part of an object to be measured without giving a voltage or damage to an insulator, by comparing the hourly variation and the sound of the insulator, which are generated by hammering, with that of a non-defective unit. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a measuring element 3 amplified by an amplifier 4 is inputted to an attenuation factor measuring instrument 5, and an attenuation factor is derived. This attenuation factor data is inputted to an operator 6 together with a non-defective unit data of a data storage device 7, both of them are compared and operated, and in case when an increase ratio of the attenuation factor of an insulator exceeds an allowable value set in advance, its deterioration is displayed by a decision indicator 8. An inspector is able to obtain a decision of the deterioration of insulation by operation of only giving a hit to a prescribed part with a hammer, as to an object insulator. |
