PURPOSE:To allow a typist to confirm a letter in the printing position and to make unnecessary for the typist operation of moving an ink ribbon upward and downward by a method wherein the letter or symbol corresponding to each type is displayed on the back of the type of a daisy wheel. CONSTITUTION:On the back of the type 5 formed at the tip of a spoke 2, that is, on the side facing a typist, a letter or symbol display 5a corresponding to what is represented by the type is provided. This makes it possible for the typist to confirm which one of the letter or symbol is set in the printing position without moving the ink ribbon upward and downward. The mechanism can be simplified to that extent, whereas the cost can be reduced. |
