PURPOSE:To work an excellent rugged pattern on a shape at low cost by rotating and compressing a shape having plural rows of small projections on the surface in longitudinal direction by rolls provided with irregular and discontinuous rugged pattern on peripheral surface. CONSTITUTION:Plural rows 2 of small projections extending continuously in longitudinal direction on the surface 2 of a shape 1 for architecture are formed by an extruding machine. The shape 1 is fed in feeding direction A at specified speed and inserted between two rolls 4. Rolls 4 are rotated in the direction B corresponding to the feeding direction A and compress the shape 1. A rugged pattern 7 is formed on peripheral faces 6 of the rolls 4 irregularly and discontinuously. Rows 3 of small projections on the shape 1 are squashed corresponding to the rugged pattern 7, and a rugged pattern excellent in design is formed on the surface 2 of the shape 1. |
