Acyl-ureas I [X=halo, C1˜C9 alkyl; R1=halo, C1˜C6 alkyl, alkoxy; R2,R6=H, halo; R3=H, C1˜C6 alkyl; R4=H, C1˜C6 alkyl, (un) substituted aryl; R5=halo; n=0˜2 , useful as insecticides, were prepd. by the reaction of alkoxyaniline II with benzoyl isocyanate III. Thus, l0mL tetrahydrofuran contg. 7.56g 2,6-dichlorobenzoyl isocyanate was added into 50mL dried tetra hydrofuran soln. contg. 10.39g 3-chloro-4-(2,2-dichloro-3-methyl-cyclopropylmethoxy)aniline with stirring. About 72% of the I prepd. resulted in a 100% kill of Mexican bean weevil.
