A heat-sealing tape useful for bonding a polyolefin covering sheet wrapped around a lengthy article comprises a tape substrate and a heat-bonding layer consisting essentially of a heat-bonaing polymer composition comprising: (A) 100 parts by weight of an ethylene-propylene copolymer containing from 3 to 10 molar % of copolymerized ethylene and having a melt flow index of from 3 to 25 g/10 minutes; (B) from 20 to 80 pans by weight of a maleic-modified polyethylene having a degree of maleic-modification of from 1 x 10<-><6> to 1.5 x 10<-><5> gram equivalents per gram of the corresponding unmodified polyethylene and a melt flow index of from 0.5 to 10 g/10 minutes; (C) from 30 to 150 parts by weight of a polyethylene having a melt flow index of from 20 to 100 g/10 minutes; (D) from 50 to 150 parts by weight of a tackifier; (E) from 5 to 20 parts by weignt of an inorganic filler.
