<p>PURPOSE:To improve dimming precision, by using a transistor (TR) which has a large collector current and a short switching time for switching a flash discharge tube. CONSTITUTION:When the sealed gas in the flash discharge tube 10 is ionized by a high-frequency voltage pulse V2, the flash discharge tube 10 turns on a delay time td3 after the pulse V2 is impressed to discharge a capacitor 30 for energy storage, and a large discharging current flows into the flash discharge tube 10, which flashes. At this time, a base current IB is supplied continuously from a TR control circuit 800 to a npn TR500, so the flash discharge tube 10 performs extremely stable flash discharging. Thus, the dimming precision is improved.</p> |
