PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a difference in a detecting property due to the intensity of combustion, by a method wherein a heat-sensitive element for detecting temperature of a burner body is located in the proximity of a combustion surface of a burner, and when a detecting temperature is reduced to a set temperature, an oxygen deficiency signal is generated. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive element 4 is mounted to the side of a burner body 1b below a combustion surface 1a being the upper surface of a burner 1. In case a thermister is employed as the heat-sensitive element 4, a change in the resistance of the thermister 4 is converted into a voltage to input it to a comparator 5. When a detecting voltage is raised to a set voltage, or the reduction of a detecting temperature to a set temperature causes generating of the oxygen deficiency signal of the high level from the comparator 5, and a load 6, such as electromagnetic valves, alarms and the like, is actuated by means of the signal. This prevents the occurrence of a difference in a detecting property due to the intensity of combustion, and the oxygen deficiency signal is reliably generated by a simple heat-sensitive element when concentration of oxygen in air is reduced to a specified concentration. |
