PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of an inorganic series lining material, by a method wherein exhaust gas containing corrosive gas is replaced with air for exhaust before reaching a dew point of corrosive gas. CONSTITUTION:When an incinerator is brought to a stop, temperature of exhaust gas in a chimney falls. Thereafter, a signal detecting temperature at the inside of the chimney 1 by means of a thermocouple 5 is fed to first and second comparison circuits 91 and 92. If it is found by the first comparison circuit 91 that the detecting signal is below a set value, a signal is fed to a timer 10 from the first comparison circuit 91, and the timer 10 is actuated to drive a blower 6 for specified period of time. This causes air to be blown into the chimney 1 through an air feed pipe 7 from the blower 6, and exhaust gas staying within the chimney 1 is replaced with air before corrosive gas in gas attains a dew point. This causes to automatically prevent deterioration of an inorganic lining material and permits the reduction in a cost required for the lining material. |
