PURPOSE:To enable the use of the conventional wheel rotation detecting section as intact with a simple construction as a whole by incorporating an electrical light emitting element into an eddy current type pointer indicating speedometer while a power generation mechanism for electrical detection is incorporated into a body case to drive the light element. CONSTITUTION:One gear 19 is formed integral on a rotary magnet retaining shaft of an eddy current type speed measuring section while a rotor 20 having a second gear 21 meshed with the first gear and a dynamic magnet is pivoted rotatably on the body frame. In addition, a stator 24 including a dynamic coil for generating voltage proportional to rotation of the dynamic magnet is fixed on the body frame and a plurality of light emitting element 12 dapted to light according to generated output of the dynamic coil are arranged linearly. As the power generation mechanism for driving the light emitting element is incorporated into the body case, the conventional wheel rotation detecting section can be used as intact. Besides, as the plurality of the light emitting elements are provided on the display surface of the measuring section, the speed can be checked at sight of the display surface night and day. |
